Examination
Please bring all available medical records with you
to your consultation:
- Letters of referral
- OP reports
- X-rays
- Computer tomography images (CT scans), including on CD-ROM
- Magnetic resonance tomography images (MRI scans), including on CD-ROM
- Electrophysiology findings (neurological measurement)

Your first consultation will involve a detailed discussion of your previous case history and current symptoms. Following neurological examination we will then talk to you and possibly also your family about all findings and explain your individual options for treatment including alternatives. This will take around 30 – 45 minutes.
Following examination
Should any further examinations or tests be necessary to clarify your condition, we will do them ourselves and / or arrange for them to be carried out elsewhere. You should then come back to us again to discuss the results.
Should surgery be necessary, this will be explained to you in a detailed consultation dealing with the planned procedure and possible complications. Postoperative follow-up is generally performed by the doctor in charge of your case (orthopaedic / neurological specialist, general practitioner).
With conservative therapy we work closely with this doctor (orthopaedic / neurological specialist, general practitioner) to jointly ensure successful treatment and if necessary, to adjust the type of therapy to your requirements at any time.
